Masculinisme et empathie : un possible mariage?

Notre hiver est alternatif, un roller coaster. Mais bon, on arrive à s’en accommoder. Aux États-Unis, le mot «accommodement», raisonnable ou irraisonnable, n’existe pas depuis l’arrivée de Trump – l’accommodation est une transaction, un accord pour conclure un différend  en vue d'un armistice.

«Pourquoi tous ces gens provenant de trous à rats viennent-ils ici?», aurait répété le président à propos de l’immigration africaine, selon deux sources qui se sont confiées au Washington Post. Beaucoup d’Américains utilisent le mot shit (merde) à toutes les deux phrases – «shithole countries» pourrait se traduire par «pays de merde».

Ironiquement, en février 2017 j’avais écrit : «Melania doit régulièrement essuyer le caca qui sort de la bouche de son conjoint, comme une mère essuie les fesses de son bébé.» La pauvre, elle avait essuyé de nombreux commentaires désobligeants dans les médias à cause des propos grossiers de Trump à son égard.

On pourrait voir le commentaire infâme et raciste de Trump comme un grand pas vers la destitution – mais les républicains craignent de perdre le pouvoir. Donc ils ne bougent pas. Qui le rappellera à l’ordre? Le pire c’est que la Maison Blanche est elle-même un vrai merdier actuellement.

Le hasard fait bien les choses parfois. En visitant Thought Maybe, j’ai trouvé ce documentaire au sujet des stéréotypes du masculinisme adoptés par les Américains (on les retrouve néanmoins partout dans le monde). Encore une fois, seule l’éducation pourrait vaincre la promotion de la violence, du racisme et de la misogynie, contribuer à éliminer ce sentiment de supériorité qui n’engendre que mépris et exclusion, et favoriser la réhumanisation «des autres».

Precisely what goals CAN’T you achieve because of feminism?

– Watch more porn?

– Get drunker?

– Sexually harass more women?

– Sexually objectify more women?

– Start more fights? More road rage?

– Abuse more dogs?

– Celebrate more blood lust?

– Abuse your wife or girlfriend? And your children?

Is that what’s missing once feminism “wussifies” men?
